The origin of Parque Fundadores dates back to the 50's when Playa del Carmen was just a fishing village, serving as a meeting point between the communities that took the place forward from the beginning, hence its name. It is one of the oldest parks in Playa, being known as the first center of the town and the starting point in all directions.
